Bible
We believe the scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be inspired in the original manuscripts, without error, the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of people, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith, doctrine, and life.
II Peter 1:20-21, II Timothy 3:15-17
God
We believe in one God, Creator of all, Holy, Sovereign, Eternal, existing in three equal persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Luke 3:21-22, John 1:1, 1 John 5:7
Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the scriptures. Further, He arose and is at the right hand of the Majesty on high; He is our High Priest and Advocate.
Matthew 1:20-23, John 1:14, Luke 1:35, II John 7
Holy Spirit
We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit whose ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age, to convict people, regenerate the believing sinner, dwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.
John 16: 7-11, Luke 11:11-13
Satan
We believe in the personality of Satan and that by a deliberate act of rebellion, he is a fallen angel without redemption, the originator of sin, and, that along with other evil spirits, they are the enemies of God, of the saints, and of the Holy angels.
II Corinthians 11:14-15, Job 1:6-12, James 4:7
People
We believe that people were created in the image of God, that they have sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, and that all people are born with a sinful nature, incapable of pleasing God, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become guilty sinners, utterly lost, and that only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit, can salvation and spiritual life be obtained
Romans 5:12, 8:5-8, Ephesians 2:8-9
Salvation
We believe in the redemption and salvation of sinners by grace through faith. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures as the representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that no other manner of redemption is possible, and that all who believe in Jesus Christ are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and resurrection.
I Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 5, II Corinthians 4:14-21, Ephesians 2:8-9
Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the personal, bodily, and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope, in the bodily resurrection of the redeemed, and in the judgment and conscious eternal punishment of the wicked.
Acts 1:11, Titus 2:1-14, John 14:1-3, Revelation 1:8
The Church
We believe that the true church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Christ Jesus have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and are thus united together in the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the Head.
Ephesians 4: 1-16, I Corinthians 12:12-27
Ordinances
We believe that there are two ordinances for the church regularly observed in the New Testament.
1. Baptism, which is the immersion of the believer in water, whereby that person obey Christ’s command and sets forth their identification with Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection;
2. The Lord’s supper which is the memorial wherein the believer partakes of the two elements, bread and wine, which symbolize the Lord’s body and shed blood, proclaiming His death until He comes.
1 Corinthians II:25-26, Luke 22:19-20, I Peter 3:21, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12, Matthew 28:19
